Midhurst is the best place in the South of England for a Journey Break or' Pit- Stop'. It has numerous cafes, restaurants, two International Class Hotels (and several others in the countryside close by), and Free Parking and Toilet Facilities There are TWO large FREE CAR PARKS. Cyclists may tie up their bikes to the posts outside the Town Library in Knockhundred Row where horses in a bygone era tied up. Alternatively, if you are a large party of cyclists go to Aylings Garden Centre just outside Midhurst where there is a cafe which welcomes cyclists and walkers.

Enjoy a Journey- Break in Midhurst,
Stay for an ice-cream, a drink or a quick bite to eat; or a longer stop-over with a beautiful walk in the near-countryside which adjoins North St Car Park. A short walk to the Castle Ruins and along the River Bank of the River Rother and up St Ann's Hill, the wooded brow to Midhurst, and back by South Pond and its teaming wildlife to where you started takes about 35 minutes - a real refresher for the onward leg of your journey. Ask for a free map of the walk [and another of Midhurst if you need it] from the Tourist Office at the exit to North St Car Park (See Midhurst Map}
See where Foyle's War was filmed in early March 2006: The Spread Eagle, Church Hill and Knockhundred Row. We expect the film crew to return in the second week of April, probably the Wednesday. . Film companies love Midhurst. You will too.
