This modern or contemporary cream kitchen, Shaker style, is made of pvc foil wrapped MDF. The colour is a light cream or alabaster. With raised and fielded centre panels to the cabinetry the feel is definitely Shaker country style or farmhouse, although it would sit well too in a barn conversion, old rectory or a Victorian town house. Design features include a half gun barrel pilaster, a boxed extractor and glass fronted cabinets with either rippled texture glass, pearlescent glass or clear glass. There is a full range of compatible solid wood accessories such as a wine rack, plate rack, square pilasters and full pilasters as well as pewter cage "T" handles and pewter cage drop handles. Design Comment: Although the overall cream alabaster effect with a neutral floor colour is quiet and homely, accent colours can be introduced with kitchen utensils, pots, chinaware and decorative ‘treasures’ displayed to catch the eye inside the glass fronted cabinets.

In the top picture the flowers and cup add excitement to this domestic scene just by their shape and colour. Note the kitchen peninsula in the picture below with a glazed end frame enclosing a pot with additional visual interest This kitchen is a simple 'canvas' for someone with an artistic flair to adorn, embellish and enrich with texture, shape and colour.

Although a contemporary design this kitchen reveals its classic roots in the mantle and pilasters, reminiscent of earlier periods in interior design.
