BIKERS VISIT MIDHURST

On Sunday 25th February 2006 at 11.30 am nine keen mountain bikers from Surrey gathered in Midhurst North Street Car Park to explore the Midhurst Mountain Bike Route [Left to right:Gareth, Aison, Owen, Rachel, Gow, Rob, Michelle, Adam, & Simon.]
Mainly over rough tracks and country lanes through the Cowdray Estate the 11 miles all-weather circular route has now become very popular, along with four other routes at Cocking, Fernhurst, Linchmere and Blackdown. The Midhurst route goes via Ambersham, Selham, Half Way Bridge, Lodsworth, Bexley Mast and Easebourne before returning finally to North Street Car Park and passes the door of several pubs where bikers may get refreshments.
Mountain biking has now become a popular past-time in the Midhurst area and the Town is getting the benefit of these visitors who return to enjoy the shops, pubs and restaurants. Posh Pedalers, a bike hire company, has been established at Cowdray and now provides electric and other bikes for rental as well as selling and servicing the same models. More here....
