Audrey Cleeve's highly successful 'pink' clothes shop in North St at the junction of Knockhundred Row has many well kown fashion brands: Noa Noa, Seasalt Organic Cottons, Sandwich, InWear, Calico, Mint, Board Angels, Concept Wall, Chilli Pepper, Wrangler Jeans, Modainpelle and Pilgrim.

Audrey is currently involved in a Battle Royal with West Sussex County Council. They wish to tone down her 'pink' facade to some conventional shade of 'drab'.Yet, WSCC, without it seems any local consultation, has authorised the tarmacing of the east end of West Street in a strident orangy brown which clashes with the old Tudor buildings. An enchanting little shop with an imaginative mix of ladieswear from Avoca, Jackpot, Out Of Xile,  120% Linen and childrenswear from Petit Bateau, Emile et Rose, Emma Henley and Belingot. Exsurgo Restaurant & Bar, Midhurst -an excellent place to relax, have a drink or coffee, read the newspapers and nibble at very tasty bar snacks courtesy of Darren Neal, the Gold Medallist Chef who owns this amazing place. Of course, if you have the time you should stay for an evening meal. This is quite definitely the best new restaurant in West Sussex. Its cuisine, and interior design by the locally based CAP, Conservation Architects, puts it in the Metropolitan Class and worthy of a top class award (see Good Food & Restaurants Review). Exsurgo also has Cocktail Parties every month so you can taste the new Cocktail Menu at about half-price... well about 60% of the price!
