In big cities, especially amongst the young and well-heeled, the modern kitchen in all its forms seems to be very popular. Handleless kitchens are very much in vogue and even ultra modern kitchens with their aerodynamic, sleek shapes and primary contrasting colours and wenge wood textures. But in country towns, like Chichester, kitchens tend to reflect a more relaxed and traditional way of life with emphasis on cosy, comfortable farmhouse kltchens, solid oak kitchens, traditional oak kitchens and painted oak kitchens in cream, blue and white, painted Shaker kitchens.and less extreme kitchen designs for Chichester modern kitchens. Most Chichester kitchens, however, reflect the growing kitchen design trend away from only cooking to a leisure based environment where lighting is for ambience and kitchen islands no longer reserved for food preparation or washing up.Open plan living and open plan kitchens are viwed by 1 in 5 of the population to be the way ahead.
